DS needs his first shoes. There are not many locations left... but which one is the best? Roosevelt field, sunrise mall or deer park?

I prefer the outlet. The prices are slightly lower (not a lot lower, but I think they have BOGO 40% more often). When I walk into the Deer Park store, someone is usually available to measure my DD right away. Then I can look around and try on what we want. I feel like I wait a very long time to get helped at Roosevelt Field

Payless owns Stride Rite...they're the same shoes for a lot less!

Actually, I asked at stride rite why payless always gives a very different measurement and the shoes fit much differently. They said the stores have had separate owners for at least a few years.

Yes. They may ve owned by the same holding company but their shoes are most definitely not the same. Kind of like how Old Navy and Banana Republic are under the same umbrella. But the quality difference in their merchandise is huge.
