Any BTDT Car Trip/Road Trip related
I will be driving from florida to ny with my preschooler dd. I'm looking for ideas for entertainment for her since she will be alone in the backseat and also packing food/snacks on the road. What types of food are best for in the car travel, not just for dd but for my dh too.

I always pack a ton of snacks for a car trip because my DD is a huge snacker when she is bored. Individual bags of gold fish, pirate booty, pretzels, applesauce pouches, granola or cereal bars.
You can pack a small cooler and put some cheese sticks in too and keep your drinks cool for the trip.
For entertainment, ,we got her a lap desk and she uses it to color, draw, look at books, play with small toys and we always pack the portable DVD player with a ton of movies (Don't forget headphones for that though, or you'll be listening to her movies too! )

When DS was that age I packed one of those canvas cubes and put it in the backseat with him. I filled it with books, toys, coloring books and crayons, etc. so that all he had to do was reach into the cube and pull out what he wanted instead of me constantly having to get him things.
We also brought the portable DVD player and a bunch of DVD's for him to watch. That definitely was the biggest lifesaver for long car rides.
I made sure to put his favorite blanket back there for if he wanted to nap. And a small cooler filled with juices, waters, little bags of apple slices/grapes, goldfish, fruit snacks, little bags of cookies, chips, etc.that way he had a variety to choose from and I never had to hear "I dont want that" and the cooler was easily accessible to him.

We just drove to NY and back with my 2 year old. Lots of snacks, little cars he could just hold, stickers, and the iPad was a lifesaver. We used the mobile hotspot on our phone and my son watched you tube videos a lot of the way. I sat in the back with him and my husband drive and I could attend to whatever he needed.
