a few questions for those who breastfeed....
thanks in advance for answering these or responding to them...I have a few random questions I need help with....
1. Can you really dimish your milk supply by drinking too much water? (I read it online but am not sure if its true!)
2. Can sleeping on your tummy (man I missed it for those nine months!) really affect your supply as you "crush" your mammary glands?

1. I drink plenty of water and it hasn't dimished my supply. On the contrary I was told to drink lots of fluids so that i don't dehydrate.
2. Never heard about this, but I don't sleep on my stomach only cause i didn't during the pg stages and now i am use to it. Also it hurts my boobs if they start getting engorged.

Not sure about the answer to either question but you do need to drink tons of fluids while bf so I can't imagine anyone drinking too much because I think all us new moms struggle just to get enough fluids in. As far as tummy sleeping (which I love)I can't sleep on my stomach too long as it does become uncomfortable so I don't do it too often but I haven't noticed a difference in my milk supply. Sorry I wasn't more help.

to the second question I don't know, but god bless you if you can sleep on your stomach while BFing. I can't even sleep on my side without it hurting.

well, its not pretty but i straddle a body pillow which i align with the bottm of my boobs and then cross my arms over under my boobs - almost creating like a free space - and then rest my head on my pillow.....its so comfy!
