The aftermath of a csection (TMI)

I am 9 weeks post partum and although I got the all clear for life to go back to normal I am scared to work out, I am scared to do ANYTHING ab related and this poouch looks disgusting and I am terrified to have sex after reading from one girl online (it was like being stabbed with a razor blade)

Someone give me positive insight!!!

I had two pretty uncomfortable, miserable C-sections and by the 6 week mark I started slowly going back to my normal activities. I had sex both times at the 6 week mark, there was no pain or discomfort at all. Just go at your own pace and don't be afraid to return to your normal activities, you're healed. You will be okay!!

Just go slow, use some lube, and it will be ok. I found the more I did within reason,the easier everything became. It is overwhelming at first. Be gentle with yourself.

I feel your pain... 4 years later and I have never recovered lol. nothing feels or looks the same as it used to.

I was back at kickboxing by 6 weeks. Even though I was given the all clear I took it easy. No full sit ups. I only did tiny crunches.

As for the sex...you DH has to take it slow.....don;t rush anything and if it hurts stop.

Genetics play into how your stomach will look. Some poeple's go back to what it was, some look better because they go crazy with diet and fitness and other's will never be the same.

My DS is 4.5 and mine looks like it did. But that being said I put some hard work into it and it did not get this way overnight.

I had two csecs. My second was a disaster including my incision opening after 3 weeks. I rushed into doing everything. Vacuuming the stairs and running after my toddler. Take it easy and do only what your comfortable doing. My belly never looked the same as before kids but its gotten better.
As far as sex goes I had no issue and had sex both times before 6 weeks.

I'm pretty sure I will forever have a tiny pooch and finally after 23 months I've come to accept that. I found that early on the best form of exercise was walking. I was walking DD in her stroller over 4 miles a day and that definitely helped me lose the weight, tone up and made me feel so much better. I was also very scared of doing any core work and only recently felt comfortable doing pilates and more core focused exercise.

As far as sex, take things slow and use lots of lube!

I think it will vary from person to person. I delivered vaginally and tried to have sex at the 6 week mark - hahahahaha - felt like I was going to die. I actually re-tore and needed to have the cut cauterized. We wound up finally have sex at like 3-4 months postpartum. Do what you feel comfortable with!

So, I'm going to be the bearer of good news. We had sex 6 weeks postpartum and it felt exactly the same as before I was pregnant (for both of us). No pain at all. I cannot for a second imagine that it could be any worse than if you pushed the baby out of your hooha.

I also have a tiny bit of a pooch but I think it's because I'm a lazy beast who eats chocolate everyday. I've been sick the past several days and haven't eaten much and I'm pretty close to pre-pregnancy tummy (yay?)

I'm not big on ab workouts but I felt well enough to use the elliptical at 6 weeks- probably could have sooner but I waited for the all clear. We had a few mild winter days maybe a week after DD was born and I took her for hour long walks.

So, yes, I would 100% try doing some crunches.

I had a c section and we had sex about 8 weeks pp and it was fine

As far as the pooch. Mines bad but I was not skinny before and carrying. Twins to 38 weeks didn't help

I unfortunately have the low-hanging pooch. I've struggled with my weight my whole life, which I'm sure doesn't help. I was never much of an exerciser, but little by little you will feel more comfortable to push yourself more. Sex was and is uncomfortable. My doctor said this is normal. DH has to be patient, and sometimes it's just a minute or two before I call it quits. Tampons also hurt the same way sex does. Things felt better after dd1 after about 6 months or so, so I hope things get better soon since dd2 was born 6 mos. ago!

I had sex before the Dr cleared me and I was fine! Like some others said take it slow, use some silicone lube and it should be ok.
As far as looking good? Eek, my fupa has a fupa I would get a tummy tuck in seconds. It's my ass that needs a workout
