Hershey Park - what hotel and when?
The boys finish camp in August and we were thinking of going to HP Sunday and Monday. Doing the twilight Sunday night then staying all day Monday and then going home Monday night.
Think it would be too packed in August then? Thinking maybe Aug 7 - 8 or 21 - 22.
What hotel nearby would you recommend? We stayed at the Country Inn and Suites again, but wanted to try something different.
Thanks

We did the comfort inn. About 10mins from the park. Clean, pool, and close.

There are some recommendations below in related posts. I stayed at the Days Inn years ago and it was really clean and really close. We will probably stay at the Sheraton this year since we have points but, it doesn't look anything special.
I'm thinking the later date would be emptier as everyone outside of NY/NJ tends to go back to school earlier.

We have stayed at the Holiday Inn in Grantville PA. It has a nice indoor pool, which has come in handy since rained during our recent trip.

We have been in August and it's usually jam packed and hot! But, If that's the only time you can go, you have to make do. I definitely would stay more than one night if you are coming from Long Island. Not worth the drive for one night from here.

I'm in NJ. It's about 2.5 hours. We went last year in August and it wasn't too bad. It's really only time we can go. After camp and before school. We figured we'd go on a Sunday and do Hershey World and then do the 2 hour preview and then spend the entire next day there and leave around 7 - 8 at night and be home by 10 - 11PM.
