Your life sounds like how mine will be but I am type A & freaking how this baby will not have a structured schedule. I'll have to tweak it's schedule so that it fits in with older DC's schedule. The thing is, I haven't had an infant in 3 years so I don't remember what their schedule is like.

can you please post your infant's sleep/eat schedule?
Dd2 was on a strict feeding schedule the first month after being in the nicu. She fed at 12,3,6,9 around the clock. After e were cleared from that I let her nurse on demand and there was no schedule, sometimes 2 hours between feedings and sometimes 4 or 5. She's 1.5 now and still has no schedule! It's so crazy to me bc dd1 was so routine about everything. When you're running around all the time and your family schedule is inconsistent I think it's hard to get lo's in a routine but on a positive side they learn to be flexible. Dd1 had school two mornings a week and activities in the afternoon other days so the was almost no room for a schedule. She barely got 3 meals in a day before she turned one bc there wasn't time. Even now she sometimes falls asleep before she eats lunch and doesn't wake until 3pm. Sometimes she still takes two naps, usually one but it could start anywhere between 1030 and 2 depending on what we're doing. I wouldn't try to plan how it will go, just wait and see.

DD is 6 mos. I have an older DS who is almost 4 and goes to nursery school 9-12, so she has to go with flow for naps etc. during the week. She doesn't has a strict schedule, but it's generally:
6:30 8 oz bottle 8:30 4-6 oz puree food 9:00 long/short nap 11:30 6 oz bottle 1:00 long nap 4:00 4-6 oz puree food 6:00 6 oz bottle 6:30 short nap 7:30 2-3 oz bottle 8:00 bed she sleeps through the night

Re: can you please post your infant's sleep/eat schedule?
I will throw in my 5.5 month old schedule who ISN'T on solids yet so you have some variety!
6am-6:30am Wake Plays till 7am 6 oz bottle at 7am After that...he naps (for about 45min) every 2.5-3 hours and eats (6oz) every 3 hours or so for the rest of the day (his day is not regimented at all) At 7pm is bathtime by 8pm he has his last bottle and goes to bed. He gets up once at night anywhere between 1am-3am for a 4oz bottle and falls RIGHT back to sleep until 6am when we start all over!

When dd2 was that age...she's going to be a year Saturday...her schedule revolved around dd1 who was 2 four days before dd2 came.
Dd2 would get woken up to take dd1 to school. She would get woken up to pick dd1 up from school. She would nurse around that too. I also pumped and she would have bottles on the go too.

We don't really have a schedule per say.
DD is 11 weeks old and has pretty consistently been feeding every 3 hours since she was born.
She started STTN last week at 10 weeks but around 7 weeks she started doing 6-7 hour stretches of sleep at night. Now she gets her last bottle for the day around 9:30pm and then she sleeps until 6:30 am. We pretty much do on demand feeding which 90% of the time is every 3 hours. If we're out she usually goes longer stretches because she loves to sleep in the car and her stroller.
Now she usually takes naps for about an hour or two after each feeding. When she was first born it was eat and sleep pretty much the entire time.

At that age there was no schedule. DS set his own schedule. Bottles when he was hungry. Sleep and naps - well he never slept at night and napped here and there during the day.

Oh sorry. Didn't realize you wanted that detailed. I had a study red schedule for my first two. This one is just going to be flexible lol. It's a lot of retraining my brain lol. My guess would be bottle/nurse first thing. Drop dd2 off. Most likely be napping by the time I get back home. Eating every 3 hrs or so. Then I'll have to squeeze food in there but there enough time before getting dd2.

This is my 2nd baby. Dd is 3 years. And ds is 11 weeks. Since he's been born he hasn't had a strict schedule since we're always taking DD to her things, and trying to run errands. So he gets fed when he seems hungry, and I try to put him down for a nap when he seems tired,if we're home. Otherwise if we're out he tends to sleep in his carseat/stroller. At this age,,hes still pretty unpredictable though. I can't imagine having a structured schedule for him yet. Some days he'll nap well, and other days are a disaster where he won't nap at all.

DD is 6 months. She generally sleeps from 10pm-ish to 9am-ish. 5 6oz bottles and 3 meals (purees- fruit and/or veggies) per day. She's a catnapper- usually no more than 2 30 minute naps, occasionally I'll get an hour nap out of her.

This is pretty much where we're at. DD is 8 weeks and she just started sleeping 6/7 hours at night. I nurse on demand whenever I'm with her which is anywhere from every 2 hours to every 3 hours, or like PP said, longer if we're out and about and she's sleeping.
Now that I'm back at work she has a 5 oz. bottle every 3 hours. Then I nurse her two or three times in the evening. She's usually in bed for the night anywhere from 9 PM- 10 PM. Then she'll sleep til about 3/4 AM. I'll nurse her then and we wake up about 5:30 to leave by 6:30. I drop her off at my mom's/aunt's house at 7 and nurse her once more before leaving for work.
ETA: The only difference is DD doesn't sleep much during the day- she'll sleep for 30/40 minutes after eating but then she's usually up and chatting away. She just wants someone talking to her all the time.

Your DD sounds like my DD! If no one is paying attention to her, she yells (not cry, yell, like an adult) and bangs her arms either on the side of her seat or on the floor if she's sitting on her own. And yeah, not a napper!

Haha she does the same! She lets out this squeal! And then you turn and talk to her and she smiles and laughs.
