What's your favorite NY beach?
Inspired by Goldenrod to start conversations. Just curious.
I live in Rockaway Beach so i'm a bit biased
Wondering where your favorite is and why.

Cupsogue Outer Beach...during the week we can be the only people out there...even on the weekends there aren't people all over you...and the water is so blue there!

I genuinely dislike going to the beach; to me, it just feels like such a production. Once I'm there, it feels overcrowded.
I do, however, like Corey Beach in Patchogue/Blue Point. It's small, and I like to eat at Flo's. I also like Cedar Beach because I can sit by the Beach Hut; the water is so far though. I don't go in the ocean though, so I'm fine with that.

Rockaway since I'm close to it. Lots of cool stuff has popped up there in the past few years.
Coney Island because I love the boardwalk, especially Ruby's. So many freaks.
I'm not much for laying on the beach. I'm very fair skinned and burn so easily that I can't be bothered. So I can't even remember the last time I drove out from Queens to LI for a beach.

South jamesport. Small, no waves no rocks, they have a playground, tennis and basketball courts, picnic tables and charcoal grills

Cedar Beach, out by Gilgo. I love the open ocean, the beach is pristine, and the little truck comes to the walkway to pick you up and bring you to your spot out in the sand  LOVE this

Rockaway we always came here from Brooklyn when I was a child and now I live here and the boardwalk in the 80's to 90's is so good now just today they had a little craft fair always something to do

This is my favorite when I am by myself. If I take my DS we go to the bay beaches since the bathrooms are closer.

Me too! I've only gone by myself or with my sister. Lobster roll and a margarita for lunch? Yes please
