Kids & planes....
I have never took my two little ones on a plane yet. All of our vacations so far as been either within driving distance or cruises from NY. This summer we will be travelling a lot and both trips involve long flights. What has your experience been taking two kids on a flight? How did you keep them occupied? Does the majority of the human race hate kids on their plane? I'm getting so stressed over this. We have the ipads, but I rather them not plaster their face on a screen for 5+ hours.
My kids are almost 8 & almost 5.

we use ipads for most of the flights - I also pack games like uno and cards, and my 4 year old loves duplos and small lego sets in sandwich containers are easy to build. I pack tons of snacks but mine are good and have been on 6+ hour flights- ages 4, 4, and 6. I also bring school work or work books and make them spend a little time working on that stuff

Re: Kids & planes....
My DD was 6 when she flew (we only went to Disney so not that far) but I packed her a special goody/activity tote bag. I put in snacks, candy, coloring books, little sticker craft projects, card games, books, etc. It was great, she kept herself busy the whole flight and she was nice and quiet.
I think as long as you have enough to keep them busy they should be okay, boredom will be your worst enemy. Bring the iPad with headphones so they don't bother anyone on the plane and make sure you have other things for them to do if they get bored with the tablet.
My DS was only 1.5 yrs old when we flew...............he passed out both times before we even took off and slept the entire flight!

I think those ages are easier. We've been flying with the boys since they were babies. THe toddler age was the hardest. Plus, you don't need as much since they old enough to entertain themselves and a lot less things to bring for that age. Ipads Coloring books/crayons (go to AC Moore and get a ton of stickers, books, art supplies, etc) books MadLibs journal or travel book for their age Put movies on the IPads and they can watch their own with headphones LOTS of snacks A fav stuffed animal
Lots of Lysol wipes. LOL
It really won't be that bad at that age. They're old enough to understand and have them bring their own backpack as a carryon.

This. The older one should be able to pack a back to take care of things to entertain .
TH younger one might need need some guidance but its really easier when they are older.
