Sonesta Maho or Divi Bay beach in St Martin?

we stayed at the Sonesta Maho last year. We loved it. It was great having the casino right outside our door (we even won!), the food was really good, the drinks weren't watered down, and the rooms were nice. We did upgrade to an oceanfront suite.
If you stay at Maho you can use the Sonesta in Philipsburg too. We did that for a day (their beach was nicer). It is adults only.
We rented a car for two days from the Hertz in the lobby and explored the island. Loved it!!!
