When do your kids

Stop playing with toys? My boys are just 7 and going to be 5 soon. I have a basement full of toys I feel like they hardly touch. Only when they have a playdate they play with it then it looks like a bomb went off.
I did give away and toss a lot recently so it's looking better. I am also having a party for them soon and when people ask me what to get them I say either clothes, Legos, anything Minecraft or outside stuff.
Oh, they do art a lot so we have a big art closet so I can say art stuff too.

My boys make their own games up too so drives me nuts when I find missing parts from one toy that's with another.

I want to get rid of the small stuff and eventually do some big toys like an air hockey table and ping pong. I have a friend with kids a little older and she says her kids hardly touch those big games. Ugh! LOL

I really think it depends on the kids. My oldest is 7 and was never really into toys per say, but my 6 year old still loves his toys and plays with them all the time.

Im not sure mine ever will. If he is anything like my DH then he won't. They just become bigger toys!

My DD is almost 5 and she was never really into sitting and playing with toys. She still isn't. Her favorite thing to do is arts and crafts. Give her construction paper, crayons, markers, glue and she will keep herself busy for hours! She likes her dolls too, but other than that, her toys just sit there.
