school end of year gifts
This is my first year in a real daycare school setting for my son.
What type of gifts do you usually get for your kids teachers and the amount?

If one teacher- $100 gift card
Target or Amex/Visa Gift cards

This is what kills me - there are SO many people to buy for.
I usually do $5-10 for the floaters depending upon how long they are in the room. I ask the director for specifics.

school end of year gifts
We do not do end of year gifts. We just had Teacher appreciation week and we got hem gifts then. The only reason I would get gifts for end of year is if he was moving to K.
I only get gifts at teacher appreciation and Xmas time.

My girls are in K and pre-school. I have 3 teachers, and 3 assistants to buy for plus an OT therapist. It get so expensive but I always give gift cards. I taught daycare for years and always appreciated gift cards most. For end of the year I do $30 for each teacher and assistant. I do $50 for the OT therapist because it's one and one and my daughter loves her so much.

Nope.
They were always changing. Every night when I'd pick her up it was someone else.
They were more like babysitters than teachers.
So I didn't buy for them- I rarely saw the same one twice

And for the record this was me too when DD was at daycare.
Christmas and Teacher Appreciation week. That was it.
I only gave end of year gifts last year when she was moving out of the center into K
What I paid per week for her to go there for 3 days was a mortgage payment. I wasn't spending any more

I'm not doing end of year gifts because daycare is year round. I do cash gifts at Christmas and I give each of his 3 teachers a small gift card for their birthdays.

My daughter is moving to a new room at the end of Summer (we go year round) so I will be giving gifts to her teachers then, not in June.

I usually give gifts when the kids move - if I really like the teacher and feel that they have done a good job. There were some teachers that shouldn't be working in a daycare so I didn't give them anything (and they left shortly after).

school end of year gifts
I am doing end of year gifts but because it is end of year for me- I follow a school schedule so DS isn't going to daycare over the summer. I have 3 main teachers to buy for. Not sure exactly how much it'll be, but I'll definitely do gift cards.

school end of year gifts
The school suggested $20 for each teacher and $2 for each specialist. That comes to $66 per parent. I absolutely dislike my son's teacher so im not sure if im even contributing. I was overly generous for the holidays anyway.

I got each a very small gift from Vera Bradley and am attaching gift cards to them... Target gc to her reg teachers and Dunkin gc to her dance teachers
