Does anyone else have very VIVID dreams? I've always been a vivid dreamer. It's amazing when it's a great dream but horrible when it's a nightmare because it all feels so REAL. I just had the most amazing house in my dream last night. LOL. Just wanted to see if anyone else experiences them as well and what your craziest dream has been!

I have had some vivid dreams of my father who passed in 1999. Not sure what to make of them, but they seemed so real. I have also had dreams of trying to run, but feeling like my legs were in quick sand. I'd like to dream of winning the lotto, and have it come true...lol

Re: Dreams
i do. they feel real.
i had one a week ago, a nightmare. i got so scared i screamed out loud and woke up DH.
i also have very symbolic dreams. I know if i dream of this one particular thing, something bad is about to happen. has been true each time i've had that dream.

Dreams
This past week I've had some incredibly vivid and emotional dreams. I started crying after I woke up and every time I thought of that dream for the rest of the damn day!

I don't usually remember my dreams, and if I do they are like very blurry and then after I'm awake a few minutes it's gone. But last night I had a very vivid dream of having all four of my tires stolen off my car!!!

Re: Dreams
Yes, I have very vivid dreams most nights. I can almost always remember them in the morning. And about once a year (maybe once every few years) I have a very vivid reoccurring dream that I've had since I was around 8 years old.

Re: Dreams
So funny you post this. I have had vivid dreams for the past couple of weeks. Its strange because there are very normal things happening in my dreams, like something I would be doing during my normal day. Sometimes I wake up and feel accomplished even though I didn't do anything yet.

Re: Dreams
Only a handful that I can remember and 3 were with my grandfather (who passed when I was 9) and around milestone moments....I just got chills thinking about it just now. They felt SO real, I remember every single detail about them....
Once when I was graduating HS, he was down the hall in my HS and I was walking down the hall and he was waving to me.
Another around my wedding, in my dream I was standing in my parents front yard and I looked in through the front door and he was standing in the kitchen. I freaked out with excitement and ran in. I hugged him. He was FDNY and a cabinet maker so his hands were ALWAYS so calloused so when he would hug you his hands would kind of stick to the fabric of your shirt and they DID in my dream too. It was weird, bc we both knew in my dream that he shouldn't be there, that he had passed and that I had missed him.
Then about a year and a half after my son was born, I had a dream he was in the hospital (except he wasn't sick in my dream) and it was an all white room, with a white bed, and I was sitting on the edge of the bed talking to him and told him that I had someone I wanted him to meet and I called my sons name and he peaked his head around the doorway from the hall, I was like, its OK, I have someone for you to meet. My son climbed up onto the bed with us and my grandfather held him and told him he loved him.
I am CONVINCED they were more than just dreams. They were SO real and they are 3 of only maybe 5 dreams Ive ever had that I still vividly remember. They were all during milestone moments, and I have to believe it was him coming to visit me to tell me he was still there with me through all of it.

Re: Dreams
I have vivid color dreams that I also remember in the morning. Sometimes if its a horrible nightmare I wake up sweating with palpitations. I have a dream dictionary at the bedside.
DH does not really remember his dreams, but they are almost always war or fighting dreams
eta: craziest dream i can clearly recall was being chased with giant rats nearby in a human sized maze.

Wow, these are amazing! They are definitely more than dreams, your grandfather has visited you during those times.

Yes always, since I was very young. The last couple of years I've had such real dreams about my mom who died, and woke up crying. So real and vivid!!

never really had vivid dreams until recently. I'm 30 weeks pregnant, and I have some really weird ones.
The other day, I had a dream that was really thirsty and no matter how much water I drank, my throat was still so dry. When I woke up in the middle of the night I realized I was actually VERY thirsty and drank about half of a water bottle in one sip

thank you for that...made me teary. I truly believe he did as well. Even if they are just dreams, to have a vivid memory, even if just in a dream of him holding my son gives me such peace and if nothing else a wonderful look into what it could've been.

Re: Dreams
I used to have a lot of recurring dreams but when I got pregnant that changed. I had horrible, vivid, terrifying dreams almost every night for the first two trimesters. I mean people attacking me with knives or a serial killer who ate people moving in next door. I couldn't watch anything remotely gory. Now that I have a newborn I don't sleep enough to dream.
