how to dress my daughter like an artist for career day
I'm drawing a blank. I thought of beret and palette...but does anyone have another idea.

My daughter dressed like an artist once. It was tricky because how does an artist really dress? lol. Gymboree has a cute line of "Art" clothes, you would have to look on ebay though since it's a retired line. She wore a beret, had a palette, wore a gymboree shirt that said something art related, matching knee socks that said artist on them, and a skirt. It was an adorable getup and conveyed the message that she was an artist.

My children's museum sells shirts that say I'd rather be painting
And maybe a oversized white shirt with paint stains on it and a few paint brushes in the pocket?
AJ is going as a scientist so I got her a lab coat, goggles, a tshirt with scientific words all over it (same children's museum had a I love science shirt with a beaker, but I can't find it at my house LOL). Then I'm going to tape a small cylinder measuring tube to her coat.

Love all of these ideas. However, they told us about this Friday and I totally forgot over the weekend. So I have 2 days to get it together. Bad mom moment.

love the smock idea but artists seem to be free sprits, so add some color or a color clip on to her hair. Things don't have to match IMO, her socks can be mismatched etc, add some funky jewelry too.
Your not a bad mom if they just told you and you are actively working on it ;)
sounds like fun!!
PS Im sure you have all the items needed in your own bedroom closest.
