I'm not opposed to the idea, I'd contribute if I went to a shower that had that.... but it seems kinda sexist! ... So the typical wishing well stuff is "girly" because men don't cook or clean?? DH probably uses the house/kitchen stuff we got at our shower wishing well more than I do Why is a guy more likely to use flashlights & batteries & tape & a screwdriver than a woman would? LOL seems a little silly.
A bridal shower in general is sexist though. They were done so the woman got all the house things. For cooking and cleaning.
I see nothing wrong with adding the groom in. The day is about the couple not just the bride. The gift are for the couple not just the bride.
