Bronx Zoo membership
We want to get the Zoo membership because DS loves animals, but I'm not sure what to put on the application. Can someone help?
If I use my cc, that would make me the primary member.
If I put down DH as Member #2, can he go to the zoo without me and take 2 other guests or is it just him and DS?
If i choose "child caregiver", as long as i provide a letter to whoever is using my membership, they can get in right? Can they bring 2 guests with them or just them?
I also thought the number of children is unlimited but it asks me for a #. Can I put down more than I want so I can take other kids with us?

If you put down DH has the other user, he can go without you and bring one adult guest. And you can go without him with one adult guest. Or you can go together with one adult guest. You can't bring two adult guests if you or DH go alone.
I am not sure how the caregiver part works.
As for kids - I added extra so I can bring in more than just my two if we go with someone. I put 4.

Yes, your DH can go without him provided he has his card. I can't answer the caregiver/guest questions. I think we just have 1 guest.
I have 1 child but put down 3. We have brought friends of DD's a few times. It's never been an issue.
To whoever posted that they only went twice, I know you probably wanted to go more but we figured out that it does pay for itself after two visits especially when you figure in parking.

You got your money's worth - you make it up on your second visit!!!
We did CP Zoo 1x and Bronx Zoo once on this membership, we need to go again soon since ours is up soon as well.

Do you know how strict they are about checking IDs?
I have some family coming in form way out of town and I know they want to go to the zoo, but I won't be able to take them if it's just one guest. I was hoping I could just give them my membership.

you will need to provide photo id at the main entrance and the parking entrance. So unless you go with them I do not think they will be able to use it.

They are pretty strict. We do the max kids of 6 so I go, dh goes and then we have the left over guest ticket. I think you can leave it as yourself and 2 guests but then dh can't go by himself without you.

Thats what we did.
as far as caregiver, I guess we did use that once. We had my mother take my son. I gave her a copy of my license and the pass. They were able to park and get in no problem. I think my father went as well as a guest.
They check ID to park and get in the zoo. the rest of the places, Children's zoo, monorail, zoo shuttle, carousel, other exhibits etc, they just check the pass.
If you have family from out of town, you could give it a shot that they use the pass as a caregiver (assuming there is a kid with them).
My son is huge into animals, so it was definitely worth it. We go probably 4-5 times a year and have done the NY aquarium as well. With all the extra charges of parking, and other exhibits, its nice being able to go and not even think about wow we just spent $40 on the childrens zoo, or $30 on the monorail, $15 on parking or whatever.

that's what i'm hoping i can do. give her a letter as the caregiver and let her go with the kids. i guess i'll call and check if the "caregiver" can bring guests.
i know we'll definitely get our money's worth as Ds loves animals and we'll go to all the zoos. Plus, my ILs live by the aquarium and DH and DS visit them each weekend, so they can always stop by after the beach.
