If you recently gave birth @ NSUH Manhasset....
I just have a few questions for you!
1) What formula are they currently giving newborns?
2) Do they provide pacifiers?
3) Do they provide baby wipes?
4) What are the visiting hours in the maternity wing?
5) Are non-sibling children allowed to visit?

They are giving Similac Advance (the blue one).
I told them I was going to breastfeed and formula feed. The nurse told me they didn't have any pacifiers. However I don't know if they just say that to the moms that attempt breastfeeding.
Yes they provide wipes.
Visitors are allowed 24 hours a day. No restrictions.
Anyone can visit you. No restrictions.
Sorry, I don't remember if the bathroom had a hair dryer.

You're not the only one. I think it's ridiculous. How can we get rest and bonding time if we have visitors coming and going at all hours? I guess it's up to us to make not so subtle signs for visitors to leave, lol.

I delivered there recently and they did give me a pacifier, but since it's not consistent I'd just bring my own if I were you .

Yes... I believe there is a blow dryer in the bathroom.

That's why I was so glad #2 was born 12/30. Everyone was either sick or recuperating from the holidays that only grandparents and mine/dhs siblings came! So different from our first where we had tons of visitors each day!

Simiilac, they do have pacis but good luck getting formula or pacis. We had to continually ask the nurses for both of these things.
