How soon is too soon to....

look at and pick out furniture??

I have been looking on line, but want to take DH to look at and pick put stuff. I am a little fussy on what I like and don't like and DH wants it to be inexpensive.

My personal experience seems to be that it could take 8-12 weeks to come in ( most furniture places )

If you like something go for it and order it

Im a natural worrier, so I wouldnt feel comfortable doing any ordering myself till at least 25 weeks.

I registered before I was even PG So I say order it. My original furniture was on BO for 3 months and then they disc. it and I had to pick out something else and then wait for that. I am so happy I did it early.

Start looking right away so that you will be able to see all the different styles and get a good idea on pricing. It's never too early!

We ordered ours late. I was 31 weeks, but we are not going all out with the baby's room in this apartment. Our lease is up in April so we're waiting until we decide what we're doing then. We only ordered the crib, a dresser/changing table, and the glider. The crib & dresser is at the store already, but we're waiting on the glider. I think it'll be in around Thanksgiving and the baby's due 11/4. I do wish we had the glider for when the baby comes home, but the other stuff wasn't so important to me. The baby will be in our room with us in a small co-sleeper/pack & play for at least the first couple of months.

I say you should start looking soon though. We are very picky and it took a few different stores to find what we wanted.
