March 2016 mommies, how are we doing? !
Time is going by so fast! Baby is waking every 2 hours each night, hoping to get him on a better schedule soon. I can't put DB down during the day, so hard to get things done around here. He Takes 3 ounces each bottle right now.

Doing pretty well. Baby girl goes to bed when we do (11:30ish), sleeps around 4-5 hours, breastfeeds, and then sleeps another few hours, so I feel thankful to be getting decent sleep! During the day she eats more frequently, and tends to cluster feed in the evening, but she is definitely starting to be awake more and I have started putting her down for some naps in the crib during the day (she's sleeping in the bassinet in our room at night), but she sometimes fights it. Most days we are doing pretty well, and now that the weather is getting nice I've been walking with her in the Ergo and my dog pretty much every day, which has been really great. Can't believe she's already 5+ weeks old!

Exclusively pumping here. Little man freaks out when I try to latch him. It sucks because my supply is very bad, and had to supplement with formula. He's been getting up twice in the middle of the night to feed, and then when he falls back asleep I pump. Been getting no sleep because it takes 30 minutes to pump 1 to 2 ounces. I bought Lactation cookies, I'm taking more milk plus, but still not getting more than 2 1/2 ounces maybe three if I'm super lucky. Anyone use anything good to up the supply? Other than that my DD seems ok with her new little brother now. We were nervous at first. She's almost two, but as long as I take the time to snuggle with her too, she seems pretty happy.

Have you tried using Medela Nipple shield? I have a wonderful LC that I went to see, I can give you her number if you would like. She got him to latch onto the shield.
DB was using the shield since he would not latch and it worked really well. I did decide to stop and go to to formula a few days ago (at one month). Hard decision :( but I did not want to pump. Nothing helped up my supply with pump but having baby on the shield did the trick. It's also hard for me to BF outside the house if using a shield, have older kids always running around with them.

My little guy has been up most days now but he's pretty good with doing his own thing in play mats or sitting in his chair. He goes to sleep around 11 then wakes at 3 and 7 like clockwork. At night I give him 4oz and then 3.5oz during the day every 3 hours. He seems hungry still after some but I'm not sure if I should increase yet.
We've been doing outings now to get him out of the house and I always babywear in a ring sling or wrap and we're both loving it!

I have tried the shield! He will latch but Only for maybe 10 seconds before he freaks out and cries like I'm killing him. He Unlatches and flails his little arms and screams. Every single nurse in the hospital tried to help me. I don't know what to do- I despise pumping and it's so time consuming and stressful. As it is I only get in 5-6 pumps which takes 45 min each time with set up and clean up. Someone always starts crying when I finally get to set up. Little man eats 4 oz at a time, he's such a little porker and I only supply about half of what he eats. I pumped for 7 months for DD, only getting half an ounce at a time after about 3-4 months and now I realize how stupid I was. But the guilt is strong. Ugh.

Just at the doctors yesterday for his 1 month well and hes already 11.4lbs and 24in! Hes eating every 3-3.5hrs and one time overnight. After his overnight feeding he is difficult to put back down and seems the most awake at 3/4am which isnt fun! I am still nursing but pumping more and more recently.

DB has between 3-4 oz each feed. He is still waking every 2 hours at night and it's starting to get to all of us. DH and I are becoming exhausted, and need to get him to stay awake more during the day. Weights 9.5 pounds now and is a fussy guy at times

Crashing. ..Try storing your pump parts in the fridge in a ziploc. That way you can keep them assembled and just grab them and start. It's a big time saver and you get used to the cold (in fact, as soon as the cold flange hit me I'd get a letdown lol). Then just take them apart and wash once a day. Maybe even pump for shorter periods and add a session to see if that helps.
