Disney world and car seats
We usually use five point seat belt things on the plane, so I was planning to pack the car seats for the shuttle from the airport to Disney. I just read that they are not allowed. Is that right? Is it safe?
We plan to stay on site the whole vacation. Will we need the car seats on site to get to any of the parks or Disney springs. We are staying at the Contemporary, so on the monorail.

Disney world and car seats
they are not allowed on any Disney transportation. Not the Magical Express to the hotel or any of the buses or monorail to and from the parks.

Well that sounds safe.
Isn't it a law to have children restrained?
I guess the law doesn't apply to Disney.

its the same as the buses in NYC.... no car seats are required on those either...

no car seats allowed on the Disney buses- either the Magic Express to and from the airport to Disney, or on all the buses/monorails/boats from the Disney hotel to the parks
Its the same as the NYC buses... i found this link that explain a little bit why the buses are safer than cars/taxis... LINK

I don't know, I remember a bus crash recently were a lot of people were injured and killed
God forbid this bus gets in an accident.
Unless Disney doesn't allow accidents in their empire either.
Who knows.

City buses, coach buses and most airport type shuttles do not have the proper seat belts to attach a car seat to. It is not a Disney thing but a bus thing. People ride subways and buses all the time without car seats and subways and trains have accidents too. I am a big car seat person, but if one is uncomfortable then they can rent a car.
Also magical express is actual not run by Disney but contracted out to mears.

Just not a fan of their business practices.
And yea I am aware that this is very unamerican of me and I may be tarred and feathered for it.
Especially on this Disney board. ..aka the travel board.
