Any city people getting tickets?
I got the camera ticket for going 36. I have been watching my speed but it is SO hard to do 35 and under and also stay with the flow of traffic
Does anyone know how often the camera takes a pic? I just read that after 5 camera tickets (red light and speeding) your registration will be taken a way. I am fine with the lights but speed has been tough. Hard for me to constantly look at my spedometer and when I do I'm always at 35+!!

Where Did you get the ticket? The speed limit in the city is 25 unless otherwise posted. I didn't think they send the ticket if you are doing one mile over which makes me think you were in a 25 mph zone.

Re: Any city people getting tickets?
What pp said is true you must have been in 25 mph zone that is the standard speed limit in the city unless otherwise indicated. There is a speed camera not far from my house and when it was first put up dh got a couple of tickets. It is a 30 mph zone and tickets are only after 40 mph. So you must be doing at least 10 over the posted limit. And they won't take away your registration for camera tickets

Re: Any city people getting tickets?
25 is so slow, it is hard to keep that when someone is always driving on your bumper. Take extra care near schools and very residential areas. That is where most of the speed cameras are. DH and I drive the Clearview alot, posted speedd limit is 50. Straight stretch of highway and we never speed on it. There is always a highway cop somewhere along the route and also police copters regularly fly the route.

In the 25 marked zones you can go up to 35, but the cameras get you anything over 35. I learned my lesson last year. Technically the speed limit is 25 anywhere unmarked now, but I find the cameras are where they have the signs marked. I know it sucks.

That's my point. 25 is slow. They should have had it at 30. I was on FLB between bayside and fresh meadows.
