Trying to plan a vacation with a PITA hubby
If it were solely up to DH he would go on vacation to Disney, every....single....time. The kids and I have had our Disney share. Any recommendations for somewhere else with top notch standards. He's not big on the whole, "you make your own fun." lol.

Trying to plan a vacation with a PITA hubby
LOL i'm laughing bc its the opposite in our house- i would do Disney all the time... but DH likes to go different places. Maybe try a different Disney vacation?? like to Disneyland in CA- and do a few days of sightseeing around there?? or one of the Disney resorts in Hilton Head or Vero Beach? or a Disney cruise? that way your DH can still get his Disney enterainment and service--- but you guys get something different than just Disney world? We've been on 2 disney cruises- and i gotta say, they make for an awesome family vacation!! tons of stuff for everybody.

When you say "top notch standards" what do you mean? .Luxury hotels? Fine dining? Preplanned excursions and activities?

He wants attention to details, excellent customer service, family fun activities, somewhat luxury would be nice, not too into fine dining with the kids in tow. I would love to do a cruise, he thinks the kids are going to fall overboard, lol. I suggested Beaches Turks & Caicos. He loves the beach and ocean. He will not go to DR, Mexico, PR, Jamaica. He suggested maybe Florida Keys, I just don't think that is family oriented so much. He also hates to fly. I told you he is a PITA, lol.

A Disney Cruise would be awesome ......if he can get over his fear of the kids going overboard - lol
We are looking into the resort at Kiawah Island - LOTS to do if your kids are a bit older (Mine are 5/7)
I haven't been to Beaches, but that's another we are always on the fence about and never take the plunge - I just don't like those type of places during 'peak' traveling season.
Aruba is an amazing trip with kids because the beaches are beautiful and calm - but not too much 'else' to do besides beach/pool
From what I've been told the Keys aren't really family centric -

Costa Rica! It's very family friendly. There's beaches, tons of outdoor activities--nature hikes, zip lining, surfing, white water rafting, canyoneering, snorkeling, scuba & deep sea fishing (if you're into that), wildlife everywhere (monkeys, sloths, birds, etc.) The natives are SO nice and welcoming and most speak English well. I dream of moving and living there.

Re: Trying to plan a vacation with a PITA hubby
Take the NCL Breakaway cruise out of NY (Goes to Bermuda) - It has something for everyone.
And Bermuda itself, can not be beat.
Well, except for Aruba...., but your hubby doesn't like to fly.
