They could sleep the night in those? I thought it had to be flat?

Someone recently asked about this. There's some controversy as to whether it's safe for the extent of sleeping that newborns do. For both my girls, I favored the bassinet but used the rnp for stretches here and there. A lot of people do use it as the primary sleeping area with no problem. I was concerned about torticollis, restricting lung functioning, and overall behaviorally just not being able to transition when older. It's what you feel comfortable with.

I use the bassinet portion of the pack n play. It's flat and the sides are mesh.

Never had an issue. My second also has reflux and never slept flat a day in her life.
