MMR and pregnant or newborn at home

Has anyone here given their child the MMR vaccine while pregnant or with a newborn at home? I'm due May 8 and my DD will need her MMR for school in September. I'm having difficulty getting her an appt before the baby comes. Has anyone had a newborn at home and given their other child the MMR vaccine? I'm worried because I know it's a live vaccine and can shed.

Not exactly but when dd2 got it I asked if it was okay that we were going to be around a newborn that night and he said it was fine.

yes. My older DD got it right before my 2nd one was born. She was early. it was fine except my older dd had a bad reaction to it 10 days later and it was a rough 4 days being home with a newborn and a very cranky 2 year old who couldnt walk. (she could walk but her legs hurt so she cried and refused to - which was one of the side effects she had)

My OB was ok with it, but my DD's ped was reluctant. She told me she'll do it at the next visit because I think the age range for the 2nd dose is between 4 and 6.

Yes. It's fine.
I was told by my ped that with a fresh newborn, they have mother's antibodies for a while.
DS had to get it with my DD less than a month old.
