Work tote
I'm looking for a good quality work tote that won't break the bank- I need to keep my laptop in my bag along with some filed and a binder as I will be working from two locations and need to have my info with me. In addition, I have a very large work bag that I keep in my trunk that contains items for therapy/ counseling sessions. Any recommendations?

Not sure if it will suit your needs but I used a longchamps bag for yeeeaaaarrss for work and then used it as a diaper bag. The bag was big and the straps were long so I was able to throw it over one shoulder even with a heavy winter coat
It was roomy enough for me and was light weight
That thing took such a beating!

I got a large Guess tote bag at Century 21 and have been using it for almost 3 years for work! I originally wanted a longchamp bag but didnt want to pay $$

Work tote
I have a long champ bag i love- I'm nervous to put my laptop in there- do you think the weight of the laptop can cause it to wear more quickly? I have the large tote I got a few years ago and use every now and then. I have a lesportsac tote I use for my evening class I like it but the size difference between the medium and the large is significant and the medium is too small and the large is too large. I'll head to marshals on my lunch break tomorrow! Thanks for the recommendations!

I got a plain black cloth work bag from Vera Bradley. I've had it a few years and it has held up nicely. It was less than $100.

I was told Longchamps are indestructible no matter what or how much you put in them, they last for years.

I know they're not super cheap- I didn't even buy mine myself cuz I don't spend money on myself- I got it as a gift from my aunt when I started grad school - in 2001!! It was a school bag/ beach bag / work bag / weekend duffel bag / diaper bag. I used that bag every single day
I threw that thing in the wash towards the end and only then, how many years later, did it start to look a little tired
Literally got a new bag two years ago

I got mine as a gift too, because I could never spend that kind of $$ on myself lol I have issue treating myself.
The only issue with this bag is, all the corners open up, kinda like little tears. I spoke to the sales girl at Bloomys and she said its an on going problem with the bag and the company has been trying to correct the problem. They will repair it for Free within a certain time frame.

This is the bag I have. Love it because it fits a tone of stuff yet looks fashionable and of course, I count resist that blue.
I got it last spring when I started a new job.

I just got this Vera Bradley bag and love it. It has a separate compartment for your laptop and it has enough space to carry notebooks and files. It also has a zip top.

I've been using a leather coach tote for the last 6 years and it has held up really well, and I carry a ton. I find that leather is much better than fabric in terms of durability. I do like how MZ Wallace bags have so many pockets tho.

I commute to the city with a black/black Longchamp bag along with hundred of other girls I see using them. I carry my laptop, pump parts, yogurt, notebook, ginormous wallet...everything fits.
I have been using it now for about 4 years and while the corners are a tad frayed it actually helped that time my water bottle opened in the bag...it drained right out the bottom
