Repetitive questions in toddler
DS just turned two and I have noticed that he is very repetitive with his questions. For instance, yesterday while driving he got excited to see the moon. But as we drove and changed direction he list sight and literally said "mommy, where moon go" about 50 times for the remainder of the drive home. I answered him the first 20 times and answered in many different ways to help him understand. While at the dr he continuously asked where daddy and emmie were. I answered they were home and we would see them soon but he just kept asking and it was driving me nuts. Does this seem like normal toddler behavior or could it be the beginnings of an OCD or even on the spectrum?

Re: Repetitive questions in toddler
Normal. DD would repeat the same thing over and over and over at that age to the point where I wanted to poke my eardrums with a sharp object. It was maddening. I think it's quite normal for that age.

Re: Repetitive questions in toddler
SO normal!!! Both of my kids LOVED to ask questions. The same ones. Over and over and over again!!
I think when they are that little language and conversation is so new and exciting to them that they just love to hear themselves talk, I don't think they even pay attention to the fact that they repeat themselves.

Re: Repetitive questions in toddler
Wait until they start asking "WHY?" 100 times and you have to go deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole.

Re: Repetitive questions in toddler
Normal. Especially for boys. I usually answer with "Where do YOU think the moon went?"

Normal! I also ask "where do you think it went?" Or "do you remember what we talked about? Tell me..." just to see if she absorbed what I was saying.

Repetitive questions in toddler
Very normal. As someone suggested ask him the same question back.
