breastfeeding- starting to pump question
Hi, I'm nursing my 5 week old. in a few weeks will need to leave baby with family and he will need to be fed during that time. I'm not sure how or when to start pumping? I fo have a pump as will need to anyway when returning to work. also if I pump, baby will miss a feeding? I'm confused lol. thanks

breastfeeding- starting to pump question
I found my supply was always the greatest in the morning. I would feed dd then pump. I started pumping when dd was about 6 weeks old.

I wouldn't go crazy. I pumped the week before I went back to work and had more than he needed for his first day (12-16 ounces). I pumped after DS nursed in the am - he never missed a feeding. It's all based on supply and demand.
