Kalahari this weekend (REVIEW ADDED)
For those who have been to Kalahari, is there anything I should prepare ahead of time. Reservations for dinner?
Also, any tips or things you brought with you that you found helpful?
Thanks!!

Re: Kalahari this weekend
I recommend bringing drinks, fruit and snacks. You may also want to up the limit of your charging ability at check in. I had a $300 limit and we went through that pretty quickly.

Thank you.
We are going for one night, but I still plan on bringing snacks and drinks and maybe even a quick breakfast to make in the room.

How was it? Thinking of taking my son there...
We got home this afternoon. We enjoyed it.
I can't imagine staying for more than one or two nights. The activities are limited. We got there early Saturday morning, about 10 am, we were able to check into our rooms immediately. We went right to the water park. We stayed until 4pm.
Park was fun, a few separate areas, my DDs are 4 and 6. They played in a few separate spots. They like the younger play area and also enjoyed the middle section which has some longer water slides. We all had fun. There are also a few older kid/adult water slides that were fun. There were plenty of chairs to go around, lots of people set up camps at tables which was annoying around lunch time, but my DH and I got a drink at the bar and the kids ate there with us.
Overall, the service and staff were all really kind and very accommodating.
The arcade is fun, there is also mini bowling and mini golf inside.
Food was good, we ate in the tavern style restaurant at 6, it was empty. The food and service were good.
We had breakfast at the buffet, which had a large selection. After that the girls played for 2 hours this morning before we headed home.
We had a desert suite, which is the plainest/cheapest room. It was fine for one night. My only complaint was I hated that the sink is in the room and not in the bathroom. I don't understand why they did that. It was especially annoying because we left the water park at 4 to shower and let the girls rest, but I had to blow-dry my hair in the room instead of in the bathroom.
My other complaint is that they have a changing room and showers when you leave the waterpark, which was great for today because you have to check out at 11, and I wanted to shower the girls after they played. The water was freezing, so we passed but they also don't have towels in the shower area. So i had to go back outside and get towels.
Overall, fun time and we would do it again. Hopefully during the week for better pricing.

would love to hear your review. We just came back from Camel back, and LOVED it. So many other things to do besides the waterpark. We are looking to go next year
