Residual Vomiting after Stomach Bug (Bugs)
My son has been fortunate enough to have 2 or 3 stomach bugs in a row.
He seems ok during the day but, he still is vomiting at night. Wednesday night it was just a little mucousy/liquid but, last night it was pretty much everything he ate. And he felt good yesterday and was hungry for the first time in awhile. I limited what he could and couldn't have but, since he was fine all day - I let him eat a little protein and fruit (watermelon).
He's gone through a slew of tests so we have it limited down to something GI like reflux or just residual impact of the stomach virus. It's not strep, and ear infection, a blockage, his white count isn't high anymore, etc. He's seen doctors, has been hospitalized and is currently hydrated. He's not drinking/eating any dairy products.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience?

I had a stomach bug this week and the same thing happened to me. I had it on Sunday/Monday. I felt fine all day Tuesday and even went to work. I was then so nauseous after dinner. I probably could have thrown up, but I didn't. On Wednesday, I again felt off after dinner. Last night, I was fine. If it doesn't resolve itself in the next few days, I'd go to the dr again.

Thanks - that sounds like the bug that started this whole spiral 2 weeks ago. I sent him to school since he seemed fine for more than 2 days and he came home and threw that night.

If he ate more last night then his stomach could have had cramps that made him throw up. This happened to my DS after the stomach bug. The Dr said limit the amount of food and drinks. The stomach isn't used to all the food even though they may be hungry.

Thanks - he did eat a lot yesterday. Hoping that's it. This makes me feel better.
It's been a long two weeks and I really don't want him to end up back in the hospital for dehydration. We went to the ER 2x (Sunday and Monday), he was admitted Monday and woke up around 9pm in hysterics trying to rip out his IV and ended up with a bad infiltration so he couldn't use his hand for awhile.
I'm just exhausted!!!

I'm in the same boat. My 6 month old threw up a bunch on Sunday and then we thought he was all good but has thrown up once a day pretty much every day this week. He was all good on Thursday and then today got a call from school that he threw up like a 6oz bottle 
We are baptizing him this Sunday and I'm all broken up
over what is going on with him. These bugs are the worst

I do have experience with this, although no explanation. My DD had your typical stomach virus where she was very sick for a few days. Then it seemed like she got totally better- ate well, drank well, happy mood, running around, etc, buttttt after acting totally normal all day, she'd vomit once a night for like 10 days after the initial virus. Dr. had said it was normal and was just risidual effects from the virus. It did go away, but it took a while and was so puzzling to me. Hope he feels better soon!

Thanks - glad to hear it was just that - unexplainable.
I feel bad for you though - 10 days of laundry in the middle of the night.
He's perked up a bit today and is playing with my mom a bit. Hopefully he will rebound this weekend.
