Disney Question
I always hear such good things about Port Orleans Riverside. I've never stayed there but I know a lot of people love it.

Disney Question
i've never stayed at either-- but i'm a disney freak so i've read a lot LOL from what i've read, Caribbean beach is very spread out. so you might have a long walk to the main building for food, drinks, etc.... and the buses can take awhile because theres a few stops in the resort itself- before you even head to the park. Not sure about port orleans riverside.... BUT we stayed a night at port orleans French Quarter before a cruise-- and it was great! small, very easy to get around, nice pool....

Re: Disney Question
We haven't stayed at either, and both are a huge turn off to me due to all of the internal bus stops. I would stay at French Quarter, we stayed there and it was great. Small, one bus stop, loved it!

Re: Disney Question
I stayed at carribean beach & never stayed at another Disney property again.
IMO, it's really, really not worth the $. We prefer (by far) renting a car & doing off site. Have even done Disney with no car & hotels with shuttles for under $100 a night including breakfast that were a lot nicer than carribean beach. The only thing is that it is pricey to go from airport to hotel (so renting a car may be equal).
Maybe try port Orleans.
If your kids are not toddlers, I'd check out the universal hotels (i.e. Hard Rock).

Disney Question
We're doing Caribbean Beach this May after our Disney cruise for 2 nights. We decided on not going with Port Orleans because the pool and splash area at CBR looked much better for the kids. The size of CBR doesn't faze me as we'll be renting a car and only staying 2 nights.

Disney Question
I stayed at CB this past January. The rooms had an awful smell. The resort is HUGE! I never saw anything but the room and the main building where the restaurants are. The shuttles.. AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Took forever and sometimes you'd see the same park shuttle come several times before a different park came. Very frustrating!
The restaurant was good. No complaints with that.

Disney Question
We've stay at POR many times and I love it. I also love the French Quarter, but, as a family of 5, we are too big for FQ now.
