No birthday party for 7th. Ideas?
I don't think we're going to have a bday party for DS's 7th. He has a big class and says he's friends with everyone. Plus, we have a lot of close family friends with kids we're all close with. We did a huge backyard, swim party for him last year which was just supposed to be family then turned into much bigger, catered, etc.
I want to do something special and give a nice gift. Maybe Diggerland? Anyone been? DH is a contractor so the boys are into tools. We love GA and have season passes, but feel like we go a lot since we're only 15 minutes from there. Don't want to go away for the weekend since we have some summer trips planned already. Plus, DS is a memorial Day weekend baby. Any other day trip ideas? Bronx Zoo?
Any ideas for a big gift? Xbox maybe? We have Wii,

I feel like the games for the xbox are pretty mature. I mean, I haven't looked into them extensively, but they aren't the kiddo type Super Mario games, so I personally wouldn't get that.
I like the experience route. How about a day in NYC? Go see a show, Museum of Natural History, Central Park Zoo, etc.? Diggerland looks cute, but I think it's geared to a younger than 7 crowd? I've never been, just going on what I looked at online last year

My DS loved Medieval Times and the food was surprisingly good.

How about an iPad or kindle?
If he's into sports, tickets to a game and/or a jersey. My nephews are 6 & 8 and sports stuff is really all they want.

Never been to digger land but my friends brought their 4 year olds. I thought it was for a younger crowd.
Intrepid in the city and Chelsea piers?

I heard digger land is geared for ages 2-6. I would do an overnight at great wolf, kalahari or camelback. What about an hp chromebook?
