I think it depends on who is watching her..I went to Vegas for my 30th birthday for 3 nights when DD was 6 months old. She stayed with my Mom and while I missed her terribly, I knew she was well taken care of and I had a really great time being away (and getting some sleep LOL)

In 22 months, I've only been away from DS for 2 nights. Honestly, I was so upset to leave him, but he didn't know the difference. LOL Once I was gone, I actually fine with it as well. I think I'd stay for one more night!

I have had to travel for work quite a bit and 2x was to Australia so they were long trips. Other trips were to Chicago and LA and it was always at lease 3 days.
DH and I have been away a few times for weekends. Its easier when they are younger. I say take advantage of the time. She won't forget you and she won't realize how long it is.
I actually think once you get past the first day or two they settle in and it gets better. I also always bring home something from where I was even if its just from the airport.

Re: traveling out of the country without dc
I'm actually traveling to Mexico for a wedding too in July. My twins will be 14 months. It will be the first time I'm ever away from them over night. DH travels for work so he's been away for weeks at a time.
She'll definitely be ok. She may realize that you aren't there at some point but I think she will be just fine after a bit.
My girls are staying with my parents, who watch them every day so I'm hoping that 3 nights with them will go smoothly.

She'll be fine. I was a nervous wreck cause my 22 month old still nurses regularly and I was afraid he would be like where the heck is momma? Nope. Then I thought maybe he'd wean (which I was happy about) No such luck!

I travel for work a lot and I am ok leaving my DS who is 11 months. He is always fine. I'd probably do three nights because it's kind of a long trip for 2 nights.

She will be ok. Go,and, enjoy. Muddy was just with my parents for 2 weeks when I was in the hospital with my youngest. She is turning 2 so I thought maybe she would miss me after awhile but nothing. Perfectly fine.

Re: traveling out of the country without dc
My girls were 8 months and 2 when Dh and I went to St. Lucia for my bil wedding. We only stayed 3 days but I wanted to go home. I was really home sick and wanted to see my babies. We did have a great time and it was nice to have some real alone time but boy was I happy when I got home to my girls. My kids had a fantastic time staying with Grammy and grandpa.

I would stay another night. I was in my friend's wedding in Jamaica. I flew in late Friday afternoon and out on Sunday early afternoon. The wedding was Saturday. It was a whirlwind trip. I had a great time, but it was exhausting. I wish I had at least one full day to relax.
