Disney starter Q - Dining
We are going with DS 6yrs and twins 18 months - only for three days. Doing meal plan -2 quick meals 1 sit down per day. Where do I even begin with reservations? Any raves for sit-down restaurants? Also don't want to travel far - we'll probably be at Pop Century and we eat early like 430/5. Also - want to do character breakfast - is there a favorite?
TIA!

Re: Disney starter Q - Dining
I would use your sit downs for lunch in the parks in that case and save the quick service for the food court at Pop.
In Animal Kingdom I really like Tusker House. You can do breakfast or lunch there. I prefer it for lunch.
Another breakfast a lot of people recommend is Chef Mickey's. But you have so little park time I'm not sure I'd "waste" time on it.
I also like The Plaza at Magic Kingdom for sit down.

one thing we did last time that was great... was book a "pre-park" character breakfast. so, like if Magic kingdom is opening at 9 that day, you can make your reservation for 8--- and get into the park a little early before everybody else. you can't ride any of the rides early, but at least you have a head start LOL we did Crystal Palace- which has Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore... it was cute. Another one at Animal kingdom is Tusker House- with Donald, mickey, daisy, and goofy i think? chef Mickeys is a fun character meal, where the kids can meet the "classic" disney character- minnie, mickey, goofy, pluto, donald...

Also- if you're going to Hollywood Studios at all-- your oldest DS would probably like the Sci Fi drive in restaurant. its set up like a drive in movie, and you eat in "cars"... pretty cool! its nice and dark and cool in there-- so it makes a nice spot for a lunch reservation to sit down in a cool, dark spot and have a break for an hour or so...

Re: Disney starter Q - Dining
We like to eat at the parks for the very last breakfast or very first lunch seating. This is around 10:30-11:00. We eat breakfast on the go, always arrive at rope drop and maximize the very early touring times where there are minimal waits. Wait times start increasing around 10:30 and we start getting hungry/thirsty/tired around 11 so it works for our family.
Some places we like to eat at the parks:
AK - Tusker House, Flame Tree BBQ, Pizzafari
MK - Columbia House, Be Our Guest, Aloha Isle (pineapple dole whip)
Epcot - we like to walk at munch at Japan, Mexico, Germany, Morocco, England, France, pretty much every country has something yummy
HS - Sci Fi Diner place had really cool scenery
At the resorts, Polynesian has great breakfast options at Ohana, Kona Café or Captain Hooks. They also sell pineapple dole whip at Pineapple Lanai (new).
