Easter bunny questions
How does the bunny get in the house? Santa is very clear on the chimney but DH pointed this out.
Does the bunny bring the eggs or do you leave them for him to hide? I want to reuse each year....
Does he hide the basket too?
Any other fun/silly traditions? New at this!
Edited - for those that hide plastic eggs. Do you leave them out like on a table for bunny to fill and hide? Or are they kept secret?
DD watches videos of last year and I can see her saying these are the same eggs as last time She hasn't asked how he got in but it was a discussion between me and DH. Funny it's such a big part of Santa but overlooked here!

Easter bunny questions
Im still not sure how the bunny gets in, that was never made clear. He would hide the real eggs that we had colored a few days or the night before. He also brings and hides our baskets, which are the same baskets each year.

Re: Easter bunny questions
Bunny comes in through the door, leaving a trail of grass. We put the baskets out, the bunny just fills them. Growing up, he always hid the eggs we colored. He hides plastic ones for my kids, and I've used the same ones the past few years.

Re: Easter bunny questions
Bunny just hops to our house LOL no clue how he gets in. He hides the baskets as well as ALOT of toy filled plastic eggs. This year "Easter bunny" has 80 eggs to fill. The kids love the egg hunt and keeps them busy
We color eggs a few days before. And there was a great idea posted on the parenting board a while ago. Still do it every year. I will try to bump it for you. But in a nutshell you plant a handful of jelly beans outside and on Easter morning a big swirl lollipop has grown. You of course switch it out without your lil one seeing lol. Let me see if I can find the post.

Re: Easter bunny questions
Growing up, the Easter bunny came through the front door. One year I was skeptical because I woke up super early and my dad still hadn't hid the eggs yet (we had a dog who would've hunted them down and eaten them if he left them out overnight) so my dad said the Easter bunny was running late and to go back to bed. Then he "spilled" baby powder on the floor near the apartment door and drew a bunny footprint in it and opened and shut the apartment door loud enough so I could hear. I came running out swearing I saw the Easter bunny leaving! That kept the magic alive for a good while longer.
ETA: We dyed real eggs and the Easter bunny hid those- we had enough candy and little toys in our baskets so we didn't hide the plastic eggs. He did not hide the baskets.

Easter bunny questions
My parents hid the real eggs and I remember every year or so forgot where one was hidden. Because of this we do plastic eggs. Baskets just appear but I think since I got dd a name one this year the basket will just get magically filled. I have never even though of asking how the bunny gets in, good question. I'm just going to say he wiggles his nose or magic. We shall see.
She is obsessed with surprise eggs this year so I have to start figuring out what to stuff them with. Probably change and Hershey kisses. She loves change to feed her piggy.

Easter bunny questions
I always hid the plastic eggs and the basket. Eggs had candy in them, some had money.
My kids stopped believing in him pretty early on. The idea of a giant bunny hopping through the house just didn't fly for long.
ETA: I don't think my kids ever asked how he got in. I would have said the front door.

Re: Easter bunny questions
I never did the Easter bunny bit.
Santa and tooth fairy were enough work for me.

My kids have never asked how the bunny gets in so we don't have anything like the Santa Key at Xmas. There isn't as much hype around the bunny as there is Santa so I guess it just never dawned on them.
The bunny brings the eggs, we use plastic eggs filled with little treats.
No, we don't hide the basket.
No real Easter traditions in terms of the bunny but we do have certain foods every year. Since before me, lol, my family has been making Easter bread so we do that every year. We also make noodle pie, pizza rustica (Italian "meat pie"), and rice pie. We also dye our eggs the night before Easter and we ALWAYS watch the Ten Commandments, EVERY year. It's tradition.

Easter bunny questions
When I was a kid I was always told he came in through the back sliding glass door. The way my brothers and I always thought it was true. Then my parents would say he got his little tail caught in the door when he was closing it and show us white cotton balls on the floor (they would put cotton balls on the floor and say it was his tail) lol
The Easter Bunny brought the baskets and left them on the kitchen table for us. My parents hid the plastic eggs and the Easter Bunny hid the decorated ones.

Growing up my parents always hid the real, colored, hard boiled eggs. When my DH heard we did that he thought that was SO gross and boring. His parents always did plastic eggs with candy, money, etc. so we do that too! I like it better, when you think about............who wants to find a room temperature, REAL egg??? lolol My kids love to see what treats are inside their plastic eggs.

Re: Easter bunny questions
My kids have never asked how he gets in thankfully lol. I would just say he has a special key to get in all the doors just like Santa does for people without a chimney
I don't hide eggs. Baskets are left out in the open in the living room
