Moms of multiple kids -@ the playground
DS is in kindergareTen and after school we go on playground. My twins are 16 months and running everywhere. They usually whine to get out of stroller of course- do I just let them whine and not take them out- is that only solution? I was taking turns taking each one out but it is so much,!!! Any advice? This is probably more of a vent from another exhausted mama!

There was a park near me in East meadow that nobody ever goes to. I used to take my twins there & felt ok. Try & find something like that. There is a few parks in Nassau I can think of that are safe. There is one in Wantagh.

Yup. Let them whine. No way in hell I was letting both my 16 month twins run around together (I was also 8 months pregnant with my 3rd when they were that old). I didn't have an older one, but if I went somewhere and they wanted to get out, that was not happening with me alone. They would go in 2 different directions. I would usually bring lots of distractions (dollar store toys, lollipops, stickers, you name it, I had it in my bag).
For me, no way I could've let one out without letting the other, they would've screamed bloody murder.

I let them mine run - my son was 3 and my twins were 1 and I just let them crawl around the bottom of the playground. kids learn their own limits well

Re: Moms of multiple kids -@ the playground
if you're the only ones at the playground i would let them out. but since it seems to be a school playground with a lot of kids, i would just let them whine. try to bring things to entertain them in the stroller with. I would be way too worried that i cant keep my eye on all 3...it took me a long time to get comfortable alone at the park with just my two!

If it's enclosed I let them run. We have a gated playground near our house so whenever I have dd and other kids/babies I take them there. Everyone is so good with making sure the gate is closed.
Prior to 2014 it was just open to a field and parking lot so I never went because I hated having to keep my niece trapped while my dd ran around and we followed her.
