Carters question and psa

Question: If my daughter has a long torso and is thin, am I better off with a 4T or a girls' size 4?

I believe the 4 is supposed to be cut smaller, but I beileve it depends on the brand and the specific item.

4t I thought still leaves room for a diaper.

I find the difference btw the 4T and 4 to be pretty small. DD wears both in Carters. The sleeves are slightly longer on her in regular 4, the overall cut is slightly bigger, but not a huge difference.

IMO 4T is smaller than 4. my daughter grew out of 4T clothing before she grew out of 4. she would wear both at the same time and when the 4T started getting small; I just got rid of it.
I think I actually asked them (or another store) and they told me the difference was that 4 was a little bigger and I did compare and they were correct.

I personally by size 4 but if there is something I really wanted for her that was only available in 4T I would be.

I also feel carters runs big. both kids fit into carter sizes longer than other brands at that same size.
