Re: Crest haven lodges vs the sagamore hotel- lake George
They're very different places entirely, but I would choose the Cresthaven Lodges. My SIL just got married at the restaurant on premises in September and they had one of the lodges for 2 days and it was AMAZING. Especially for a family - there's beach access, the townhouses are huge and VERY nice, you're still very close to the village, lots to do. The lodges are 2 stories with a master bedroom, kids bedroom, kitchen, 2 bathrooms. Most are lake views. For an extended period of time its really perfect.
The Sagamore is much father from the village and while nice, it has more of a hotel feel. Personally, I like the Sagamore for a couples get away. It's fine for kids too, but the lodges at Cresthaven afford you so much more space for a family and the location is great.

I would absolutely choose Crest Haven! You get so much more for your money. The Sagamore is gorgeous and has more of a resort feel, but for the kind of money you're spending there, you can go to the Caribbean.

We've been to the Crest Haven the last 2 summers - we are extremely picky about where we stay, and this place is a favorte. My kids aer OBSESSED with it
We have stayed at the Sagamore - it's a nice 'resort' type of place, but it's still a hotel - and the rooms are old.

Do you think crest haven is good for a 2 year old. Or is it the type of place that toddlers couldn't enjoy ?

My little one was 3 the first time we went and LOVED it. - I'm telling you my boys are obsessed. They would prefer the 'log cabin' to Disney. There is an adorable playground, a small 'beach' (i'm a beach lover so not a big fan of the 'lake' beach .......) but the kids love it, there's a pool, lawn for them to run around and play - youi can rent a boat, go into town etc.
