Southwest Questions?

I have never flown Southwest before...so I do not know what their prices are like in general.
Are they the lowest when they first open up a booking window. My dates arent available to be booked as of yet but I was wondering one it opens up (says 3/1) will I find good deals then?

Re: Southwest Questions?

When they first go on sale are probably best to book but I would look each day in that timeframe they go on sale. I just booked a ticket that was $109 the other day and the next day it was $172 and the day after $152, so it varies each day. I would keep an eye on it when it first comes out.

Also, check back even after you've purchased your tickets. If the price drops, SW will issue you a credit for the difference. I just did this for a flight we have booked in May, and got back $54. I just put it towards another flight we were in the process of booking. The credit is good for 1 year I believe

Southwest Questions?

In my experience, yes the first day they open flights is the lowest. I don't do last minute flights so I'm not sure if they are at a low then too. But yes keep checking back and you can get a credit if lower.

Re: Southwest Questions?

I think the "Wanna Get Away" rate is the cheapest they offer, and yes, those rates usually go first so I"d book as soon as the dates open

I booked SW a couple of weeks ago. I just checked back and got a $200 credit because fares went down! Once you book, definitely keep checking back.
