Another Disney GOer with starter questions..
Trying to go budget- how is POP Culture resort? ANyone stay there? ANy other budget ones you'd recommend?
Going with 6 year old and twin 18 month olds - what do about car seats? I just chatted with rep on Disney website and they said car seats aren't allowed on transport from airport to resort. That doesn't seem right. So I guess I have to pay for private transport and rent car seats? What do people do?
TIA!

Do you mean Pop Century? We stayed there and loved it! The theming is really cute. Rooms are plain & small but we didn't care since we were at the parks all day and just want back to hotel to sleep.
We used the magical express from airport to hotel.

Pop Century is my favorite out of the value resorts. They have their own bus, and the food court food is good. Rooms are tiny and beds are full size, not queen, but if that doesn't matter to you I would totally book it. We have stayed there many times. Never had issues!
Most people take Magical Express and just sit their child right on the seat with a seat belt.

i like Pop Century- i stayed there in 2011. It was just DH and i though--- so i'm not sure if they room might be too small with 3 young kids?? (especially with stroller and all that.... (they're not huge rooms, and like somebody else said- only full size beds, not queen...) BUT its nice, the pool is good the kids would love the HUGE decorations all around the resort.... you could also look at Art of Animation. its more $$$, BUT they have suites there that have 2 bathrooms, and a pull out couch bed. might be nice to have a little more room. you can also look into renting points from a disney vacation club member-- you could end up with a suite/villa for a good price. I've never done it, but if you google you can find info. As far as the bus.... most people take The Magic Express and just put their kids on the seats with the seat belt. We went 2 times with DS- he was 3 and then 4.... and didn't take a car seat, he just sat in the bus seat....

Re: Another Disney GOer with starter questions..
Never stayed at the values, but the rooms are on the small side, and as mentioned full size not queen beds. Two pack and plays and a stroller might not fit very well. Have you considered a moderate? The other vales, and art of animination have family suites that might be ok for 5.
As for as the buses. None of the buses in WDW, magical express or around wdw, will accommodate a car seat. They will make you store your sunder the bus on magical express. The buses are full of families with babies. I do not know anyone who rented just to use a car seat. The buses from the resorts are like a city type bus. No belts or ways to use a car seat.

I was just in Disney with my parents and DS how is 3 and we got the Lion King Suite at the Art of Animation. The room is huge has a queen size bedroom with bathroom and then a pull out couch also a double pull down bed and another bathroom. It was very clean, nice and affordable. IT also had a little spray park area and a nice large pool. We took the Magical Express with no car seat. I didn't see anyone with car seats actually. I would stay there again.

I can't comment on those resorts, we stayed at Port Orleans Riverside (and loved it). We went with a 3yo and 18mo old and didn't bring car seats. We had a family member drop us off at the airport so they had car seats on the way there then we took the Magic Express to the resort in Disney. Both kids just sat in the seat with a seatbelt. That was what everyone else on the bus did and there were many kids.

I know you didn't ask about off-site lodging, but we're staying at an off-site resort, Windsor Hillls, a 3BR townhouse with it's own little pool and the resort has a huge pool, for $100/night.
We have a 5 and 2 year old and I have NO interest in sharing a room with them, it's my vacation too :)
But I know Disney diehards would scoff at the idea of staying offsite...
Here's one site that has rentals in this complex
