Day away from nursing baby
It's not the first time I've had some hours away, but I can normally pump in my car.
This time I'll be in the city. Has anybody used a manual pump? I'm not going to be able to go the whole day without pumping and I won't be able to get to an outlet.

Re: Day away from nursing baby
I've used one. But not for an entire day. One time, I was in the city with friends, and honestly, I just went to the bathroom, pumped - it was annoyed and took a little bit to pump both sides but whatever, - and just dumped the milk bc I didn't want to carry a cooler. I've used on occasion for those kind of things. It got the job done.
Luckily my electric pump had batteries so I usually just brought that around when I knew I'd have a place to use it, and store it.

I had a Medela PISA and bought the battery pack that was made for it.

Yeah the spectra s9 comes with a battery pack. I've never opened it. I use the spectra s2 at home or in the car when rarely needed.
I think I'll just get the medela harmony manual pump. A lot smaller to carry around and it's quiet.

There's an app called moms pump here that you can use to find a place nearby to pump. May be worth downloading.
