Hawaiian Airlines
Anyone ever flown them before? Looking to see what the difference between economy plus and first class is. If we are going direct from NY to Hawaii we want to be comfortable and my DH is a pretty tall guy.

Re: Hawaiian Airlines
DH and I fly to Maui once a year. We have flown Hawaiian a lot.
My DH is 6'3" and we always fly either the Economy Comfort or First Class. The economy comfort is very nice. I've never flown in regular coach on Hawaiian so I really can't compare.
If on Hawaiian, we usually do economy comfort there and first class on the way back. The differences: first class is more leg room, wider seats and of course a bigger recline. The entertainment is better and the food is awesome.
Economy comfort (especially if you can get a bulk head seat) is very roomy though. They include some free entertainment (all NY-Hawaiian flights have seat back tv's).
If you have any specific questions, please let me know.

They have every airline and airplane listed with seat maps and reviews of individual seats.

I've flown first on Hawaiian, it was fantastic. Highly recommend it. Food is delish. Entertainment system was great too. Spacious seats with great recline, although not lay flat. For a ten+ hour flight it's worth every penny.

Rows 11-13 are in there own little mini-cabin.
We used to love Row 11 - now we prefer row 13 or row 34. They are redoing the planes and some row 11 space is restricted. They are removing the hard partitions between first and coach and just using a curtain. On our last flight in 11, we had a redesigned plane and decided we'd rather be in the last row of that mini cabin.
We also flew Row 34 for the first time recently. Row 34 was awesome. I think it had more room than either 11 or 13. The flight attendant jump seat is there so during takeoff and landing they are across from you, but it was definitely one of the best seats on that plane. My favorite thing about 34 - during the flight you can actually stand and stretch!!!!!
As far as first, if you can swing the price (or have miles) do it! Oh and depending on when you travel, HA is rumored to be starting to add flat bed service on this route.
