I am currently 33 weeks pregnant with #3 and starting to feel antsy about getting things ready for baby, I have a scheduled c-section for March 21st. When did you start setting up stuff like the swing, pack n play, installing car seat etc? Debating if it's better to have it out and set up or wait a lil while bc its such big stuff with the other 2 lil ones running around?

I washed some of it ahead of time and just left it all in the nursery. I did have one of the playmats out and dd1 tried to play in it.

Can you wash the cushions and stuff ahead of time, but have it all in the nursery?

Yea this weekend I washed all of the NB and 0-3mth clothes then just put them back in bin and washed the car seat cover. We are doing some work on bedrooms still so we have to move DD out of the room that will be the nursery....so much to do! I'm feeling very anxious

I'm 28 weeks with #3 and have done next to nothing. Just bought a new infant car seat. Debating when I should put it in the car, since it means moving the seats I already have. I hate doing things too early but I don't want to be stuck at the last minute going crazy either.

I did everything in the final week or two for ds2. I was not expecting to have him early (and I didn't, he was born on his due date).

You'll be fine. Remember you'll be in the hospital for a few days after. When you get home the baby will sleep so much and they really only need a handful of things.

Just had my 3rd DD in January. I had a scheduled Csection as well. I washed all the 0-3 month clothes, seat covers etc a week before my section. We also set up the swing, bouncer, pack n play and car seat a few days before my section. If everything is washed and ready to go you should be good.

We washed things a few weeks ahead of time, but the pack n play and swing we did not set up until the week I was due. Didn't want the kids playing with the stuff

Re: Moms of 2 or more

I really just washed the clothes and put them in the drawers, and dh installed the car seat base (more to get it out of the house than anything else), and I washed and sterilized the bottles. We did all of this about 2 weeks before my scheduled c-section. He did the bassinet about a week before.

We waited till after dd was born to put up the swing, activity mat, bring up the stroller.

So different from the timeline with dd1!

I am in the same boat. I am 33 weeks with #2 and I feel so unprepared. My DD has to move to the "big girl room" which my DH has been renovating for 2 weeks now and will not be ready until the first week in March. Then we have to turn her old room into the babys nursery. I cannot wash anything right now because there is no where to put it.

It has also been 4.5 years since I have had a newborn, so we had to buy a lot. We didn't do a sprinkle or shower, so I am still buying necessities.

I feel like with DD I was waiting for her the whole month before with everything set up already. I am a pretty organized person so this whole situation of having 7 weeks to go and I can't get anything set up is giving me anxiety LOL

I went early with both kids, so I vote to set things up earlier than later. Maybe not as early as 33 weeks, though.

At the very least, I had the RnP set up so I had a place for the baby to sleep when she came home. Car seat went in around 35 or 36 weeks.
