Good place for anniversary in mid March within 3 hours driving from Queens.
We are looking to get way overnight, somewhere relaxing in the middle of march. All I want is nice accommodations and good food. Something civilized, within 2-3 hour driving distance.
Any recommendations?

Have you tried Mohegan Sun? We don't gamble at all, but it's a beautiful hotel, great spa, indoor pool, shopping, and amazing restaurants, and bars/lounges. Very nice, relaxing and as you said, civilized!

Woodloch Mohonk Mountain House Manhattan
We live in DC now and we LOVE staying in hotels around Manhattan. It is such a different experience than when you live there and go to various places around the city.

Because they only give great prices on the rooms on weekends to the high rollers and big gamblers. We only go during the week. They have some great packages for weeknights. Last time we went we got tge room for like $159 and included was $100 dining credit.

You could try Foxwoods. Mohegan is a bit nicer, but Foxwoods is nice enough and cheaper. I like to stop in Mystic on the way up and visit Old Mistik Village. It's a nice little trip.

Mohegan
Foxwoods - and if you email them in advance they are very accomodating for a special occasion. they leave gifts in your room and write stuff on windows its very nice.
Woolverton Inn, NJ-this area is beautiful and very serene. the breakfast is good and the rooms are nice. no tv though.
The Water Club -AC I would stay over the weekend adult only pool nice when you are on an anniversary
