Mommy Vent
Can I just vent a bit.....I am really feeling blue lately. I guess it's bc I'm stuck home (on maternity leave) with my 3 month old. I hate the winter with a passion especially with a small baby. And on top of it, he's sick and hasn't slept good at night. At this point I was taking my other kids out bc it was warm out when they were 3 months old. We'd go for walks, to park, etc. this time being home in the winter sucks and it's so depressing! Family is not around so I'm basically alone.
I can't wait for Spring!!!!
Thanks for letting me vent!

I hate winter and I don't even have a newborn. It SUCKS! I tell my DH everyday that when are ready for #2 I refuse to TTC in any month that will result in a winter baby. Hang in there

Vent away!! And I totally understand. You know I have 2 winter babies. Its dreary, cold, dark early. And with hormones all out of whack it makes for the perfect storm lol. It will go fast. Before you know it. You'll be at the beach .  hang in there mama. You got this!

I had my son last January and know exactly how you feel. It was a very cold winter last year so I barely left the house. Once it got even the slightest bit warm, I was out walking for hours with him in the stroller and I was so much happier. 53 days until spring!

Hugs. I had a winter baby and more recently a summer baby and it is SO hard to be stuck inside. I really went crazy and having a summer baby was a lot easier. I baked an insane amount because that is what I like to do. All of my friends and family got cookies in the mail because I needed to be busy. (Well, I also watched a bunch of TV marathons..... but that can get old fast.) It sounds great on the outside - but it is really hard. Hears hoping for an early spring!

My first DD is a December baby and this baby is scheduled to be a February baby, so I know exactly how you feel! With DD1 I took a lot of trips to the grocery store, BRU, Target, etc. I definitely see myself doing that again this time around

Everything she said. I'm in such a funk right now with a 6 month old (also have older dd). The baby is teething. I hate winter and this time of year for so many reasons.

It is tough. My first was a February baby and it was hard. Then my twins were newborns last year in winter - not fun and easy to get depressed. Definitely lots of trips to cvs, etc. and talk on phone with people.

My first was born in January and I vowed I would never have another winter baby. But I'll tell you that the sleep deprivation and loneliness was no picnic in May either!
That being said...get out! Even though it was a bad winter with my son, I still try to leave the house every day, even if it was just to walk around the block. Do you have a car? Drive to the mall, Target, anywhere! Just get out of the house as much as you can. And remember, Spring is only 12 short weeks away.
