How Can I Babyproof This? (Pic)

This is a console table in our living room area. (Well, one of the legs).
It's wrought iron & obviously dangerous to a crawling baby.
I don't want to put a gate/fence around it (it's pretty small).
Any suggestions?
Should I just wrap each leg in something super padded?
TIA for any ideas.Chat Icon

That's what I would do. The problem will be once she gets a little older and will try everything to get it offChat Icon

I agree but I would watch for her biting it. My girls put anything & everything in their mouth.

I would wrap a towel or blanket around it with some duck tape.

I feel like any kind of foam she'd take a chunk out of - which could be MUCH worse.Chat Icon

My only suggestion would just be to remove the table for now. A crawler will just bite at or rip off any covering you put on the legs. You might even end up damaging the finish if you use tape.

I would probably do the same thing - just remove it temporarily.

Put each leg into a winter boot...like an UGG. That would probably work, and what a conversation piece!Chat Icon

Oh well, my house is now a home with my little girl, so if it has to look like a tornado went through here for a while just to keep her safe, then so be it.

I'd just put the table away. We put our coffee table away when Jack was getting mobile and it was actually a pretty safe one...rounded edges. Better safe than sorry.
