Anyone use a Tula Carrier?
I had a babywearing consultation today, and really liked the Tula soft structured carrier. Has anyone used it and liked or disliked it? Would love to read some real life reviews before buying it, especially since it's not sold in stores. I'm most interested in knowing if I need the newborn insert and how it holds up over time. I have a ring sling, so plan to use the Tula when baby is 3 - 4 months.
TIA!

Anyone use a Tula Carrier?
LOVE my Tula! I was really skeptical and hesitant to buy it given the cost and that it wasn't sold in stores so I could try it on. I tried and returned about 8 different carriers (not kidding). Hated the Ergo, the Ka'taan, the Bjorn, the Mei Tai wrap, etc. None were comfortable and some were impossible to put on and take off when I was alone. The Tula is so comfortable. I can wear my 8 month old DD with no problem -- back doesn't hurt, shoulders don't hurt, etc. I didn't get the infant insert and instead make my own with rolled towels/receiving blankets. There are a few videos on YouTube that show how this can be done. My only wish is that you could forward face children in it when wearing it in the front position. It's not a major downfall, but it'd be nice! Feel free to PM with any questions!

Re: Anyone use a Tula Carrier?
I have a tula as well as a few other carriers. I bought it at the recommendation of a friend who loves hers, although I didnt love mine until my baby was much older (7-8m or so). It runs bigger than the ergo and I thought the ergo gave us a better fit when he was younger. I also love other carriers like the connecta, a wrap conversion mei tei, etc. I highly recommend joining the long island chapter of babywearing international -- they have meets all over, an active facebook group, etc and people are happy to let you try out different carriers.
The 3 carriers I use regularly and love for different reasons now are my wrap conversion mei tei, my connecta and my tula. Happy to talk more about any though! yay babywearing :)

Tula is a very highly recommended SSC. I have one but can't figure out the straps so it's just sitting in my closet til I can go to a meetup or see one of my friends who has one.

Re: Anyone use a Tula Carrier?
I recently got a Tula and I seriously love it more than my Ergo and my Girasol wrap. It's def a better fit, at least for me, not only for my back but also the way DS is cuddled towards me, plus the fabric patterns are so cool!!
Oh and just like the other mom suggested, there are many FB pages about Tula that u can join, this was def useful for me.
