2nd Set of Tubes, Hearing Loss, Irritable

Hi Does anyone have experience with a child who always has fluid and shows hearing loss on every test? My son got tubes over 2 years ago. When I asked if the hearing issue could be the cause of my son's moods, he said that it very well could be. He is 3 and is always so frustrated.

If your child had tubes with subsequent hearing/fluid issues, how is their personality?

Did a 2nd surgery help your child? ENT wants new tubes and something in nose removed right away.

not sure if ill be much help my dd just had tubes on dec 11 and on her first check up 2 weeks later she had no fluid and passed the hearing test.
if the tubes are working then there shouldn't be any fluid.
i would get a second opnion

My niece had tubes twice. She was 4 in August. She still has fluid in her ears and she still has hearing loss. This recent test last week showed her hearing loss was the worst it has ever been.

2nd Set of Tubes, Hearing Loss, Irritable

My twins are on their 3rd set - first time just tubes, 2nd time one had adenoids out with tubes, third time just tubes - they already both had tonsils and adenoids out - my twins are 4 and need to have tubes to keep fluid out otherwise there is always fluid - I don't see the mood issues but I have seen major balance issues when there is fluid sitting there

my older son had 2 sets of tubes - at 5 we finally got a clear bill of health - he has no fluid there and no permanent damage - the fluid can cause scar tissue - so we are doing well
