advice on restaurants for communion in southern Suffolk. Please help!
We are looking for a place to have ds's communion party. Not sure if we will be inviting 35 ppl or about 70. So many places are already booked! We are looking in south shore Suffolk from about bay shore to patchogue, and would go a little north (Holbrook, etc). We are trying to keep the price reasonable. has anyone been to or hosted a party at any of the following places, or do you have any other suggestions? (I have called a million places but maybe I missed something)... Buteras Sayville Trio at Holbrook country club Harbor crab patchogue The oar patchogue Crickets Sayville
TIA!!!

I had DD's Christening at Trio. The room downstairs is kind of tight. Not sure how many you need for the upstairs room but the downstairs room is just a bit rundown and tight. We had it on the smaller side so it was ok for us, but not a lot of room to run around if you have a lot of kids, etc Food was good though, nice menu selections and if it's nice you can spill out onto the patio off the bar.
Been to a shower at Crickets- it was a long time ago but I remember the food being good and the atmosphere cozy, nothing fancy. Again, we were in a smaller room- maybe 35-40 ppl- not sure how they accommodate if you had 70- it's not a huge place

We had my sil bridal shower at the oar. We had about 80 people and we fit fine. The food was good and the staff was fantastic. The room was cute especially since we did a nautical theme but they let you do whatever you want to the room.
Another place that has a huge room that is beautiful in patchogue is That meatball place. I have no idea of pricing but the food is good.

I had a party at Crickets. Everything was amazing - the food, service. We had about 50 people and it was TIGHT. I would think 40ppl or less would be comfortable. We also had a few young kids and it was rough without the room being closed off because they couldn't just run around and play.

This.
I've only been to Harbor Crab once for my sister's rehearsal dinner, it was in a room upstairs and it wasn't that big either, she had no where near 70 people.
Have your tried Bellport Country Club or Snapper Inn in Oakdale? I've had parties there and they have rooms large enough to hold 70 people.

I second the Snapper Inn- they do a good party- food is good, nice views.
