Can anyone recommend an awesome Chinese(sit-down) Restaurant?
Hi,
In the mood for an excellent sit-down Chinese Restaurant for dinner from let's says between the Commack and Stony Brook area.
ETA: Sometimes we go to Lotus East in Mt. Sinai but looking for a change. If we felt like traveling we'd go to Orchard in Garden City, but we don't.

Jade Garden in Hauppauge is pretty good.
It's not trendy or fancy- more old school but the food is good

If you are willing to travel a little further south, Hoi Ming in West Sayville is great! We've been going there forever.

Ancient Ginger in St. James and Eastern Pavilion in Setauket. Both excellent. Eastern is a larger restaurant.

And they have Japanese/Sushi as well as Chinese.

orchid in Garden City is the best!

The best ones can I think of is empire Szechuan in St. James. The dishes are consistently good and icons it more authentic than most other ones in the area.

Thanks everyone! We ended up going to Golden Dynasty in St James and it was good, not great. I'll try some of the other recommendations on here at another time
