3 name layered necklace question

Hubby is getting me one for the holidays... which name should go first in the smallest circle... the oldest child or the youngest of the 3 kids? His thinking that the oldest should go on the bottom is that the circle is the largest, but I think the oldest should be first in the smallest circle. Only other "issue" is my oldest has 8 letters in her name and my youngest has 4. LOL He thinks that might look funny... cramming in the oldest on the smallest circle and having a ton of room on the bottom, largest.

See post right under this... I was able to add a photo of the necklace.

Thank you. The more I look at it, the more I agree. This way biggest child gets the biggest circle, lol

I think the first child goes on the small circle and then as your family grows, the names get added to the bigger ones.

I have the same necklace and this is what I did. My oldest twin (who has the least amount of letters so it worked out) went on the smallest and my second went on the second one. When I had my 3rd I contacted them and mailed my necklace in to have the 3rd circle added with my youngest's name.
