I have the Homedics that they sell at BB&B. It has rain, ocean, thunder, white noise, and a few others.
I actually ended up preferring the rain! It's funny - I started with the white noise but switched to the rain and my son loved it. I like that it gives you options so when the baby grows out of it you could use it for other things.
Because of my SO's job he sometimes works nights and needs a noise machine to sleep at odd hours -- and he loves the ocean. So, yeah, I have had mine now for like over two years and it's great.

I have the Baby Soundspa Lullaby Sound Machine and Projecto Sound Machine
It works great, is easy to pack when we travel and the projector is an added bonus and acts as a night light.

with DD we got the sleep sheep as a gift and she loved it
With DS he needed white noise more often so we got the homedics one from BBB

Definitely! Plain old white noise and stays on all night. Myself, my girls, my parents, my sister all use them.

This one. I've had it since DS was born and he's 6 now and still uses it every night! It's held up fantastically. We also use the rain sound and my DS loves the projector on it too - he uses it as a night light.
